Perception

Understanding unstructured or unknown environments is one of the most basic habitual human skills–this comprises one of the prime challenges for contemporary robotics or any field of flexible automation. Thus we apply technologies like intelligent perception and smart sensing that are fostering great progress to open the door for smart flexible quality inspection, automated stock & inventory assessment and AI-assisted safety & security cameras.

Cognition

Intelligence as a concept in any system means treating knowledge, attention and memory as mental actions. Cognition enables learning, decision making, problem solving, reasoning and evaluation: in robotics this means offering adaptive and flexible control behavior in conjunction with data-efficient few-shot learning. Recent advancements in this area allow for behavior tracking as well as autonomy in industrial vehicles like AGVs and mobile robots.

Interaction

The most exciting, yet also most imposing aspect of computer science and robotics happens when human and machine meet. In our ambition to tackle this challenge, we follow and support the paradigms of natural interaction and human-centric automation with classic and spatial interfaces for close collaboration. This facilitates the proliferation of digitized environments, interactive applications and highly efficient collaborative workplaces.
